SUMMARY:MCA DoLS: 1 Day Intensive Training
DESCRIPTION:Aim: \nThis course is for experienced trainers where\, ‘time may not be their friend’\,  and are willing to commit to a 1 day intensive course that will enable them to competently deliver MCA & DoLS training within their organisation. \nIMPORTANT: \nCandidates need to produce current evidence of the following when booking a place on this course: \n\nAn intermediate knowledge of  the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)\na PTTLs qualification or equivalent\n\nOverview: \nThis One day Intensive course will be split into two sessions where the candidates will be ‘tutored’ on a 1-2-1 basis and given the tools to help them deliver MCA DoLS training to their staff.  Our highly knowledgeable trainer will take you through the MCA & DoLS processes and training plan\, giving you the tools to be able to deliver high quality in house training session. \nThe course will cover the following: \n\nDevelop confidence and skills to undertake training within your workplace\nIdentify the key aspects of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards that need to be included in the training to be delivered\nAbility to plan key MCA and DoLS sessions\nConsider how they will use key materials to deliver MCA and DoLS training within their service area\nDemonstrate how the use of key source documents will be used to answer key questions\nExplore a range of methods to deliver the training\, considering the different learning styles of staff\nIdentify potential barriers to delivering effective training sessions and consider solutions to overcome these\nExplain how they will evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the training\n\nCourse Cost: \nThe cost of this course is £150 plus vat that will include materials and certification. \nCourses will run on an ‘by request’ basis.  Please email admin@willowcentre.co.uk for more information and to request a date for training across 2018.

DESCRIPTION:Do you have the right knowledge and skills in your organisation to carry out Care Certificate assessments to satisfy the regulators?  Have your assessors received the appropriate training to assess competently and consistently?  You may think ‘yes’ but read on….. \nThis one day session is ESSENTIAL for anyone who will be involved in or have responsibility for assessing other staff working towards the Care Certificate and who do not hold a formal assessors qualification.  The course will give participants an introduction to the Care Certificate along with the evidence towards Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practice of Assessment. \nThis assessors course will benefit both those New to assessment and current assessors who require Refresher training.  The course will be delivered by experienced trainers whose expertise in health and social care assessment will ensure delegates are provided with the relevant context for their assessment decisions. \nCourse objectives \nThis course will develop the knowledge and skills needed to boost confidence of staff with the responsibility for assessing their colleagues in the Care Certificate.
