DESCRIPTION:What is Reminiscence?   Why do we reminisce? \nThese are questions that are answered in this interactive afternoon training session that is suitable for anybody who is working in a front line capacity with people who have Dementia. \nCourse Content: \n\nIntroduction on  What is Reminiscence and Why we Reminisce\nWebster’s reminiscence function scale\nApproaches to reminiscence\nReminiscing in a group\nTriggers\nMethods\nPlanning a session\nLooking at ideas and resources\nEvaluation & questions\n\nBy the end of this session\, you will have: \n\nGained an understanding of what reminiscence is\nExplored the value of various reminiscence strategies in working with people with varying abilities\nExperienced what it’s like to take part in a reminiscence session\nGained knowledge of where to get resources and information from to help facilitate a reminiscence session in the workplace.\n\nThis course is delivered by Forget me Not training who are Dementia training specialists.  The course will include some materials and a certificate of attendance.  Prices are exclusive of VAT. \n
